Our client has an excellent opportunity to work for a large blue chip company as a Backup Specialist.
To be considered for this position you must have minimum 5 years experience within a similar role an extensive knowledge of enterprise backup*vender technology (Legato Networker, Veritas Netbackup, Veritas Volume Manager or Arcserve) You must also have a strong understanding and commercial experience with NDMP Backup configuration, database back ups (SQL, Oracle, NOTES), email backup (exchange 5.5 and 2000), Unix Solaris 2.6 or above, Shell Scripting, Networking skills (TCP*IP), SAN*NAS, Tape Technologies (DLT, LTO) and Tape Library configuration preferably ATL. The successful candidate will have the ability to design new solutions, configure end to end back up solutions, able to work through problems in a logical manner all within a high-pressure environment.
You will be part of a team responsible for 1st to 3rd line customer and infrastructure support, including all aspects of server and operating systems, backups, directory services support and IT room maintenance.
